This colour and black and white film shows a family holiday to France, visiting Dinard, St Malo and Le Mont Saint-Michel. The second film shows highlights of the International Exposition dedicated to Art and Technology in Modern Life with the German and Soviet Union Pavilions adjacent to the Eiffel Tower along with gardens and street scenes and several Parisian landmarks.

"France 1937 Dinard and Paris Exhibition"

This film shows black and white shots of buildings and houses taken from a rooftop, where an an older couple sit together. The shot cuts to a coastal view of a beach with Fort National (Saint-Malo) and holiday makers on the seafront, followed by a view of a younger couple sitting on a wall.

The film-maker captures mixed colour and black and white shots of the Abbey (Mont-Saint-Michel, Normandy) from various locations. The scene then cuts to a narrow street (Grand Rue) with the 'Hotel Du Mouton Blanc' and several small souvenir shops packed tightly together on the hillside. This is followed by additional colour views of Mont-Saint-Michel from the beach. The group take a horse drawn carriage ride along the beach and coastline and explore the landscape. There are various views of a coastal resort from the water.

The next section shows black and white wide shots of the Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne site (International Exposition dedicated to Art and Technology in Modern Life) with the German Pavilion on the left and Soviet Union Pavilion (with statues) on the right, adjacent to the Eiffel Tower and ornate gardens. Continuing the tour of the exhibition site, the next sequence shows two modernist style towers with Tricolour flags, panorama views of the River Seine, closing with mixed views of the pavilion buildings and the family walking around the exhibition site.

The final sequence shows views of the Arc du Triomphe, fountain at the Place de la Concorde, ending with a brief view of a police man directing traffic, past the L'Arc du Triomph.
