This edited family film shows the family attending a Point-to-Point horse race event in Helingly, playing and socialising together at home in Cross In Hand and taking part in several horse riding events with the Pony club at Firle House and Lewes. The film also includes shots of the family's pet Shetland ponies, and watching the Southdown hunt.

The film opens with a series of shots of the family, playing with their toys and riding a Shetland pony in the front driveway to their house.

'Hellingly Point-to-Point 26th March 1938'

The next sequence shows horses jumping fences at one of the point-to-point stages, and shots of the children in the field with the spectators and bookmakers dressed in outdoor clothing. The film cuts to a close up of several bookmaker signs that includes: 'Billy Walker Hailsham Sussex', and 'Chubby Gunn Brighton...' followed by further shots of the races and a family member visiting one of the bookmakers. The next film returns to the family garden at Cross In Hand, with two boys hiding in a tree, and another pushing a wheelbarrow.

'Pony Club at Firle and Lewes 1938'

Shots of a large garden show several riders mounted on horses, ponies and donkeys riding in pairs around the garden. The group then practice jumping fences in a yard. The film cuts to shots of the Southdown Pony Club hunt gathered in a street and riding over open countryside.

'Billy's first week born 13th May 1938'
