A compilation of still images and video interviews with Medway on Screen project team members and partners edited into an introduction for the Medway on Screen DVD. Medway on Screen was a community history project run by Screen Archive South East in 2010, exploring memories of the River Medway and West Kent.
The introduction to the Medway on Screen DVD includes archive clips along with interviews with Dr Frank Gray (Archive Director, SASE); Catherine Walsh (Project Officer, SASE); Alison Cable (Archivist, Medway Archives and Local Studies Centre), Christine Furminger (Secretary, City of Rochester Society), and clips reminiscence sessions including Iris (at Age UK, Staplehurst) and Charles (at Age UK, Postley Farm).
This community history project run by Screen Archive South East in 2010, explored memories of the River Medway and West Kent. The project used archive film material of the Medway region and captured oral histories, gathered photographs and conducted local history research. The project ran in Tonbridge, Maidstone, Rochester and the Medway Towns, and was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Lottery Fund, supported by The Centre for Kentish Studies, Medway Archives & Local Studies Centre and Tonbridge Library.
