Summary

This family compilation shows the Brickell family's house and garden, parts of which date back to 1580, filmed by Richard D. Brickell.

Description

The film shows a compilation of shots of the family garden with flowers in bloom and the children and family members sat on a rug in the garden. There are angled shots of the chimneys through a flower bed and the children playing on the lawn surrounded by daffodils. The next scene shows a panoramic view of the house capturing several period features that include the doorways, cornicing and an ornate stone plaque dated 1590. The final sequence shows a brief view of a farm, a birthday cake with candles and a row of cars parked in a field with several family members standing in front dressed in black and the rolling countryside of the South Downs behind them.
