[Swanage; Chain Ferry]

This black and white film shows a group of young men on a trip to Swanage, Devon. The group use the Sandbanks to Shell Bay chain ferry, stay at the Hotel Grosvenor and go on a driving trip through the Devon countryside.
This edited and intertitled travelogue film shows a cruise from Folkestone, England to the Stubai Valley, near Innsbruck, in Austria. The film also includes descriptive intertitles highlighting local agricultural processes, regional customs, and traditional Tyrolean dress. The film shows views of the rural mountainous villages of Mieders and Fulpmes in Tyrol. The final section shows the film-makers returning to the UK via ship.
Boat Trip; MS Stella Polaris
Film by Ralph Staley of a cruise with his wife Nellie aboard the Norwegian liner MS Stella Polaris. They stop at the port of Stockholm, and Copenhagen amongst other destinations. On board, deck coits and other games are played, passengers relax on deck, and Nellie is seen washing in their cabin and looking out to sea from a window. A Finnish boat/plane (OH-ALK) is seen leaving the shoreline adjacent to the ship at one of the stops.

This amateur film begins with B&W images of a trip to a zoo and a holiday to Nürnberg. It continues with colour footage of a traditional rural African village and the tribal people who inhabit it and the surrounding area.

A group of European friends are seen having tea, before footage of boats in a bay, filmed from the deck of a ship.

More footage documents travel through the Alps, a Polish mountain town in winter and Indian street life, before shots of an imposing modern church in a Francophone town.

This edited and intertitled pre-war film shows a group of friends on a climbing trip in the Rhône-Alpes Savoie region of France. The group plan and make preparations at home in a garden, before packing their belongings to set off. In France, the group climb and walk, with views of rural village life, plants and wildlife. The group stop at Pralognan, the waterfalls of the La Fraiche valley, Val-d'Isere and Col de L'Iseran.
A film by architect Joseph Emberton of his travels to three European architectural exhibitions; the first in pre-war Dusseldorf, the second in Paris and the third, at the Empire Exhibition in Glasgow.
